Queensland adjudication

The ABC Dispute Resolution Service has over a decade of experience in the field of adjudication and security of payment in the Australian construction industry.

Queensland has embark on a new era with the Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act 2017 (BIF Act) receiving Royal Assent on 10 November 2017 and Chapter 3 – Progress Payments and Chapter 4 – Subcontractor’s Charges both came into effect 17 December 2018.  The Building and Construction Industry Payments Act 2004 and the Subcontractors’ Charges Act 1974 have been repealed.

Prior to 15 December 2014, ABC DRS was a registered Authorised Nominating Authority (“ANA”) in Queensland under the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act 2004 (“BCIP Act”) and was able to appoint adjudicators to decide adjudication applications.
