QLD Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act 2017 | Intensive Course
Queensland embarked on a new era with the Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act 2017 (BIFA) receiving Royal Assent on 10 November 2017 and enacted on 17 December 2018. This sees the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act 2004 and the Subcontractors’ Charges Act 1974 repealed.
This course will bring you up to date with all the significant applications of the BIFA Act including relevant case law.
You will be trained on your obligations in respect to payment claims, payment schedules, adjudication applications and adjudication responses.
You will be able to gain expert knowledge from two leading lawyers who specialise in construction disputes in an open, interactive and friendly environment.
